Global Spectrum Names Troy Flynn GM of Spaladium in Split, Croatia

Global Spectrum, the public assembly facility management subsidiary of Comcast-Spectacor, today named Troy Flynn as the first General Manager of the new Spaladium in Split, Croatia. Global Spectrum Europe, a partnership between Global Spectrum and the NEC Group of Birmingham, England, will operate the new 12,000-seat multi-purpose sports and entertainment venue which will open in December of 2008.

Flynn, who most recently served Global Spectrum as Assistant General Manager of the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ, will now oversee the day-to-day operations of the new Spaladium, including hiring and training of a full and part-time staff, all financial aspects of the facility, and scheduling, booking, and marketing of the events at the Spaladium.

“Troy’s experience in operating similar venues in the States, combined with his superior leadership abilities makes him the perfect leader of first endeavour into Europe,” said Global Spectrum Chief Operating Officer John Page. “Troy knows how to maximize all of his corporate resources and can leverage them for the benefit of the client, the customer, and the community. He will be a tremendous asset to Global Spectrum Europe and the City of Split.”

Flynn joined Global Spectrum in 2001, overseeing the changing over of the arena floor from event to event at the Wachovia Center, Global Spectrum’s flagship arena, in Philadelphia, PA. He relocated to Trenton, NJ, to become Director of Operations for the Sovereign Bank Arena in 2005, and he became the Assistant General Manager of the facility in 2008.

Flynn graduated from Roanoke University in l999. Originally from West Chester, PA, he is Global Spectrum’s first general manager of an international project.
