Paul Hamm officially withdrew from Olympic competition on Monday, July 28, but is scheduled to reunite with his teammates for the October 23 event in Philadelphia.
The Olympic Games kick off in Beijing on 8/8/08, as the U.S. women’s team enters as the world favorites. Their narrow victory over China to win the 2007 World Championship thrust Johnson, Liukin, and the others into the international limelight. Meanwhile, the men look to medal in Beijing and grow on their successful performance at the 2007 World Championship that landed them fourth in the world.
The All-Star event will bring the Olympic spirit back to Philadelphia, as the event combines the current superstars with the legends of Miller and Blaine Wilson. The unique and entertaining theatrical experience will showoff the talented gymnasts, who will perform to the musical hits of today including top recorded songs from Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, and KSM in addition to Pruitt - live and in person.
Pruitt’s single “One Love” was just named #1 on Radio Disney. She recently performed the National Anthem at the Arena Bowl National Championship in New Orleans, before Philadelphia won the championship.
