Eagles to Play at Wachovia Center on July 14
The Eagles - the best selling American group ever - bring their classic hits and acclaimed new material to the Wachovia Center on Monday, July 14 at 8 p.m. as part of their “Long Road Out of Eden World Tour.” Tickets at $50, $85, and $185 go on sale Monday, May 12 at 10 a.m. exclusively through ComcastTIX at ComcastTIX.com, 1-800-298-4200, the Wachovia Complex Box Office, or select ACME locations.
Fresh off their 2008 Grammy Award, the fifth Grammy in the bands illustrious history, the Eagles aptly named their tour after their latest album release. Released in 2007, Long Road Out of Eden was the band’s first collection of new material in 28 years and debuted at the top of the charts by selling more than 711,000 copies in its first week. Since that time, their newest album is certified seven-times platinum with the lead single “How Long” earning the Eagles another Grammy.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, the Eagles consist of Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, and Don Henley. With hits like “Take It Easy” and “Hotel California,” and albums like Long Road Out of Eden and Greatest Hits 1971-1975, the Eagles continue to gain fans throughout the world.
The Eagles launched the U.S. leg of their “Long Road Out of Eden World Tour” at California’s Stagecoach County Music Festival on May 2, 2008.
