The Police Reschedule Concert at Wachovia Center July 29

The Police with special guest Elvis Costello and The Imposters reschedule their previously postponed concert at the Wachovia Center for Tuesday, July 29 at 7:30 p.m. All tickets from the previously scheduled November 14 performance will be honored at the door, while additional tickets at $53, $93, and $228 will go on sale on Monday, February 25 at 10 a.m. exclusively through ComcastTIX via ComcastTIX.com, 1-800-298-4200, Wachovia Complex Box Office, and select ACME locations.

The last time The Police played indoors in Philadelphia was in the Wachovia Spectrum on January 18, 1982.

In 2007, The Police concert schedule included sold out performances at many of the most historic and renowned stadiums around the world including: Citizens Bank Park; Fenway Park (Boston); Wrigley Field (Chicago); and Dodger Stadium (Los Angeles); along with Twickenham Stadium (London); Stade de France (Paris); and River Plate Stadium (Buenos Aires). As already confirmed, The Police will return to Europe this summer for a select number of prestigious festival events including such performances at the Isle of Wight and Hyde Park Festivals in the UK, the Rock In Rio Festival in Spain, and the TW Festival in Belgium. The Police will also return to Germany, France, Spain and Italy performing at various arenas and stadiums through June and July.

Elvis Costello and The Imposters will join The Police for the North American portion of this year's tour. Also spanning a career of 30 years, Elvis Costello and The Attractions were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. He has received a number of Grammy nominations for his recent albums When I Was Cruel, The Delivery Man and for his 2006 collaboration with Allen Toussaint, The River in Reverse. His songs have been recorded by a great number of artists with a list as diverse as his range of musical styles including: No Doubt, Solomon Burke, Dusty Springfield, Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash.
