PHIL WEINBERG

Phil Weinberg has been Executive Vice President/General Counsel at Comcast-Spectacor since the partnership was created in 1996. Previously, Weinberg was Spectacor’s Vice President/General Counsel since December of 1990. |

Weinberg is responsible for oversight of all of the company’s legal affairs, including litigation, financing activities and player related matters. He is an alternate governor to the National Hockey League and to the National Basketball Association. He participated in structuring the construction and permanent financing for the CoreStates Center (1994) and in the merger between Comcast and Spectacor (1996). |

Weinberg received a BA in Political Science from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, in 1977 and his law degree from Boston University in 1983. Between 1977 and 1980, He served as an assistant to the Commissioner of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. Prior to joining Spectacor, he was in the private practice of law for seven years, primarily with the litigation firm of Sprague and Sprague. |
